Radiological Sciences

Master's Program

Our two divisions, medical imaging and radiation therapy, are devoted to (1) learning the basic technology of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, which are currently making remarkable progress, (2) studying basic aspects of radiological diagnosis and treatment, (3) solving various problems in clinical settings, and (4) developing new radiological methods.

The radiation therapy division established a medical physics course in fiscal year 2012, in addition to the cancer treatment radiologist course established in fiscal year 2007, which was adopted by the “cancer professional education plan” of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. This new course was approved by the Japanese Board for Medical Physicist Qualification in fiscal year 2013. We have prepared a master’s thesis program and a clinical training program for each division’s course, and nurture radiology students who can obtain the knowledge and technical skill necessary to play an active role at a clinical site.
