About Graduate School

At the IUHW Graduate School, our master’s degree program aims to develop “advanced level specialists or research scientists who are capable of understanding and building strong relationships with those in different disciplines in the field of health, medicine, and welfare.” Our doctoral program aims to develop “human resource who can exercise strong leadership in the field of health, medicine, and welfare.” In order to achieve these goals, we have identified the following four principles of education.

In the master’s degree program, we offer re-educational opportunities allowing professionals or those with bachelor’s degrees in the field of health, medicine, and welfare to become advanced-level specialists. We also offer intensive research training environments for students in both the master’s and doctoral programs who wish to pursue research careers.

We aim to educate students with wide perspectives in the fields of health, medicine, and welfare by offering opportunities to attend lectures in different fields, and by providing opportunities to hold discussions with faculty members and students in different fields.

Every faculty member strives to promote education and research corresponding to the advancement and specialization of fast-evolving health, medicine, and welfare.

Course schedules are created in a convenient and accessible way, allowing individuals who work full-time to pursue graduate learning opportunities when they would otherwise have had to give up graduate study. This is done by tailoring course schedules such that full-time workers can participate via two-way lectures using the remote TV conference system.
