Master's Program

In close connection with the healthcare field, we train advanced professional pharmacists who can meet the needs of today’s public in general, and of regional communities.

Pharmacy is a comprehensive applied science grounded on the study of life and health chemically, biologically, and physically. The purpose of pharmacy is to contribute to human health and welfare with new knowledge and technology provided by the outcomes of research. Moreover, in the healthcare field, pharmacists involved in the medical team must have more specialized knowledge, advanced techniques, and experience in particular regions and fields. To meet these contemporary needs, the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences aims to foster high-minded pharmacy researchers and expert pharmacists with extensive pharmaceutical knowledge in research and clinical practice. We have therefore established two major fields (life pharmacy and clinical pharmacy), and carry out advanced education with distinctive characteristics based on each field. Our curriculum system has been prepared in response to the needs of adult graduate students holding full-time jobs.

Doctoral Program

Today’s highly-developed, specialized modern medicine requires interdisciplinary, integrated medical practice by the medical team, and this in turn demands that we foster pharmacists with greater specialty. Furthermore, pharmacists must master the ability to distinguish problems in medical practice, to propose research plans, and to solve problems. In order to meet these contemporary needs, we have established the doctoral course of the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences for graduates of six-year pharmacy school courses. We aim to nurture specialized pharmacists and pharmacy researchers who will learn advanced clinical skills and hone their ability to perform research.

This doctoral course fosters rich knowledge and highly talented individuals, with the techniques, specialty, and the keen ability to perform studies in medical treatments of conditions such as cancer, infectious diseases, and psychoneurosis. Our curriculum system has been prepared in response to the needs of adult graduate students holding full-time jobs.

We aim to foster advanced clinical pharmacists and pharmacy researchers familiar with drug therapeutics.

This course fosters advanced clinical pharmacists and pharmacy researchers with significant expertise and techniques in the fields of medical pharmacy and life pharmacy; these individuals will be familiar with drug therapeutics and have the ability to actively participate in various medical care-related fields. In particular, we aim to foster highly-specialized pharmacists and pharmacy researchers in the treatment of cancer, infectious diseases, and psychoneurosis. Our graduates will be endowed with sophistication, technique, and study ability, and the capacity to engage in the education of new talented pharmacists and pharmacy researchers.
