In April 2017, School of Medicine was established at the Narita Campus. Our mission is "internationality." IUHW has practiced medical education with different dimensions from existing medical universities, with the aim of fostering doctors with high medical care skills who can succeed anywhere in the world.
In addition to training physicians flinging to the world, our main and the 6th university hospital, IUHW Narita Hospital will be opened in Narita City in April 2020 and will accept medical tourism from abroad etc. as a worldwide hub hospital. In parallel with these developments, while further refining the "research" at the leading edge as "education" "clinical", we place greater emphasis on "research" efforts to respond to larger social and global challenges. In April 2018, the " Institute of Medical Genomics" aiming to elucidate the cause of disease onset, the "Future Research Support Center" that backs up research which tends to depend on individual ability of individual researchers with organizational strengths were opened.
In addition to not only developing new treatments but also fostering and developing experts, we are also considering inter-professional education, international personnel exchanges, technical alliances and industry-academia and medical-industrial collaboration, and aims to contribute to the world as well as Japan.
