Psychosomatic medicine and integrative medicine, especially epidemiological research on yoga and stress management.

Message to Students

I am specializing in psychosomatic medicine. In recent years, yoga has attracted attention globally as part of treatment of stress-related disorders and stress management. I have been engaged in Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare "Information site for evidence-based Japanese integrative medicine" (eJIM), so that integrative medicine, i.e. combination therapy including yoga with modern medicine, can be established properly in Japan. I'd like to encourage students who are interested in these topics to come and do research at the IUHW.
